Job Description
The Warehouse and Logistics Executive is responsible for organizing and monitoring the storage and distribution of the goods.
Responsibilities and Duties :
Material Inward
Unloading and checking of goods received against PO and challan as well as Quality.
Ensuring goods are stored safely.
Making entries of daily received materials in Excel/ SAP and filing challans.
Checking & forwarding the received bills against PO and forwarding the same to accounts for payments Material Outward.
Making material outward entries in the system.
Processing the orders as per the issue note.
Ensure GRN is collected from the Accounts department for rejected materials.
To make sure that the rejected materials are handed over to the vendor and recorded accurately in the system. Warehouse Management
To ensure the warehouse is well organized and health and safety standards are maintained.
To Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with a data storage system.
To ensure goods are stored safely.
To ensure the records are accurate and updated regularly. And monthly stock statements are readily available for audits.
To conduct regular cycle counts. Evaluate and analyze inventory variance. Implement preventive countermeasures based on the result of inventory variance analysis.
Being vigilant of pilferage from the warehouse.
To ensure smooth completion of annual stock audits.
Monitoring all plants to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning staff; following up on work results.
Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training them.
Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
Logistics Operations
Generate e-way bills.
Follow up for Road Permits.
Coordinate with local transporters for receiving quotations for dispatch.
Take approvals for finalizing of transporter from the business head.
Coordinate with the transporter to arrange a vehicle for dispatch.
Provide documents to a transporter for dispatch.
Coordinate with the driver to track the delivery status of the job.
Update the Sales team regarding the delivery status of the job.
Prepare challans and maintain records of the same.
Send Acknowledged Delivery Challan to the Accounts team.
Checking all bills of loading job works/freight bills and forwarding the same for approvals and payment.
Print and compile all dispatch documents (Road permit, Commercial Invoice, Delivery Challan, LR, e-way bill).
Send all acknowledged documents along with related bills of each job to accounts.
Qualifications
Any Graduate.
A Minimum of 3+ years of experience is required.
Candidates from the Marine industry will be preferred.
Skills Required Supervision, Inventory control, Managing Processes, Reporting Skills, Analyzing Information, and Surveillance Skills.
Need to Have SAP Knowledge (compulsory).
