Duties :

• Should be able to handle a team of Modelers, DEtailer, and Checkers.

• Should be able the get the project details from the client.

• Should have a thorough knowledge of Tekla X Steel and AISC standards. UK Standard can also be considered.

• Maintains a current knowledge/understanding of the latest version of the AISC steel construction manual as it relates to connection design, detailing practices, and general steel properties.

• Reviews contract documents to learn the project scope of work and requirements.

• Identify potential areas of concern regarding the project and advise the team accordingly so that they may be addressed and resolved quickly.

• Create structural and miscellaneous models (models & connections) to develop shop drawings for use by the client for the fabrication of individual pieces of steel.

• Creates erection drawings to be used by the steel fabricator and erector to assemble the steel structure in the field.

• Assist in drawing editing as required to achieve project deliverables.

• Interpret and incorporate approval comments, design changes, and other revisions into the scope of the project.

• Assist in the preparation and submittal of all necessary lists, documents, or files (shop & field bolts, material list, galvanized pieces, CNC files, etc.) to the appropriate department in support of this project.

Eligibility :

• Education: A diploma or BE in Civil Engineering would be desirable, However any other education degree relevant will also be considered.

• Minimum 8+ years of experience in structural steel.
